"𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗥-𝟭𝟮 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀"

CITY OF KORONADAL, South Cotabato – Several public schools in this province were granted official land titles by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 12 and its partners on Wednesday, Sept. 23, through the ‘Handog Titulo’ program.

DENR-12 OIC-Regional Executive Director Maria Elvira V. Lumayag emphasized that land titles provide legal certainty over the properties and establish the basis for their lawful, continued use.

"This legal security protects public lands from conflicting claims, unauthorized occupation, and future disputes for school sites," Lumayag said, adding that securing titles is vital because the land is dedicated to the education and development of children.

The 10 special patent recipients were Koronadal National Comprehensive High School (KNCHS), Koronadal Central Elementary School (A) covering the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center, Koronadal Central Elementary School (B), Purok Reyes Central Elementary School, Katipunan National High School, NACI Integrated School, Tantangan National Trade High School, San Jose National High School, Rizal 3 National High School, and New Buenavista Elementary School.

The land titles were awarded by RED Lumayag, along with PENR Officer Iskak G. Dipatuan (South Cotabato), CENR Officer Pinky J. Maglasang (Banga), Records Officer Melvin Anoche (ROD), Koronadal City Mayor Erlinda P. Araquil, Vice-Mayor Ma. Ester M. Catorce, Board Member Marie Antonina I. Hurtado (2nd District, SoCot), Atty. Arnel Bien, and Castro C. Melendrez.
