PENRO South Cotabato initiated the conduct of Hands-on Training on Office Disinfection

In our effort to minimize and prevent the spread of COVID-19, PENRO South Cotabato initiated the conduct of Hands-on Training on Office Disinfection on May 7, 2021 at the PENR Office Conference Room. The activity was attended 12 participants from  the DENR XII Regional Office, PENRO  Management Services Division staff, CENRO Administrative Officers and Utility Workers, PENRO Health Officer, PENRO Safety Officer and Utility Workers of the CENROs and PENRO.  

Resource Persons from the Koronadal City Health Office namely: Jerson Fuyok  (Sanitation Inspector), Richard Silva ( Pest Control Officer) and Kirby Lacerna (fumigator): discussed the advantages of disinfection, proper materials/reagents, accurate formulation and the precautionary measures to be observed. The proper  wearing of Personal Protective Equipment  (PPE) and steps in the disinfection were also properly demonstrated.

The team appreciated the request of PENRO South Cotabato saying “ Mas hapos na sa part namon  nga nakaisip ang PENRO South Cotabato  nga magpa conduct sang amo sini nga hands-on training kay para mabuligan nyo man kami kay damo damo gid naga request na mga offices nga magpa disinfect”.

PENRO Radzak B. Sinarimbo, JD,MPA, MAPDS expressed gratitude to  Koronadal City Health Office headed by Dr. Edito  Vego for the conduct of the hands-on training. “While we are doing our personal  responsibilities in order to prevent the spread of the virus, we have also to do our share  in order to help our health front liners. By conducting our own office disinfection, we are  preventing the spread of the virus in the workplace” PENRO Sinarimbo emphasized to the participants.
