The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Banga conducted an information, education, and communication (IEC) campaign on the issuance of Residential Free Patent under RA 10023 on January 31, at Brgy. Avanceña, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

Said activity is a pre-requisite to the Memorandum of Partnership Agreement (MOPA) on land titling between the DENR and LGU Koronadal and the recently conducted Rapid Land Tenure Appraisal, which is the identification of potential lots.

The salient features of RA 10023, requirements and processes of patent issuance for residential land were discussed by CENRO Banga personnel. Also, the CPDC and city assessor informed the constituents of the needed requirements for the respective offices.

Fe Rosario T. Agnes, chief Regulation Permitting Section of CENRO Banga commended the BLGU Avanceña for the approval of the townsite survey and encourages the participants to avail themselves of the residential free patent program of the government. The office is looking forward to many turn-overs of residential free patent applications from the said Barangay.

The activity was graced by the Lands Patents and Deeds Division (LPDD) Chief, Emily B. Ampatuan, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) RPS Chief Gloria Delfin and staff, representatives from the Office of the City Planning and Development Coordinator (CPDC)and City Assessor, CENRO Banga RPS personnel, BLGU Avanceña, and land claimants of Brgy.
