The committee hearing was presided over by Representative Jose C. Alvarez on behalf of the Committee Chairperson on Natural Resources, Elpidio F. Barzaga, Jr., during the session, Representative Steve Chiongbian Solon presented the proposed bill sponsored by Cong. Miguel and co-sponsored by Rep. Loreto B. Acharon before the Committee on Natural Resources.

The Allah Valley, serving as a critical watershed, holds the potential to drive sustainable development, environmental preservation, and water conservation.

Meanwhile, Regional Executive Director (RED) Atty. Felix S. Alicer highlighted two key factors supporting the inclusion of the AVPL in the eNIPAS; the AVWFR underwent a thorough PA Suitability Assessment, resulting in its recommendation for inclusion in the eNIPAS; the bill garnered substantial support from the four local government units (LGUs) of Surallah, Tboli, Lake Sebu, and Bagumbayan covering the AVWFR and the Provincial Governor of South Cotabato, Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., strongly supported the bill, underscoring its importance at the local level.

In attendance at the said momentous event were from DENR XII namely; Leonisa C. Alfaro, the Protected Area Superintendent (PASu) of the AVPL, representing Radzak B. Sinarimbo, PENRO Officer of South Cotabato, Joy Ologuin, PASU of the Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape, Maria Elvira V. Lumayag, PENRO of Sarangani, and Ali M. Hadjinasser, Ph.D., Chief of the Conservation and Development Division. As the bill progresses through further stages, it highlights the commitment of the DENR toward preserving the AVWFR for generations to come.
