J.D Usman D. Aragasi, MPA, Acting Chancellor for Research and Extension, enthused all the attendees as he figuratively used the crowned Miss Universe 2023 as an example of someone who advocates protection and nature conservation.

           CBSS administrators and honored guests officiated the Ribbon Cutting and Unveiling of Building Marker followed by the messages of support delivered by the three invited Protected Area Superintendents. PASu Joy C. Ologuin of SBPS disclosed possible projects and partnerships with CBSS. Subsequently, APASu Lei Ann Acuña, gave a message in behalf of PASu Leonisa Alfaro, in her speech, the benefits of acquiring reliable biodiversity data for over years have been esteemed due to the partnership between the academe and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). MMPL PASu, Efren C. Hibaler, congratulated their initiative and concluded the full support in all their undertakings in research. He talked the significance of Mt. Matutum as one of the famous landmarks of SOCSKSARGEN and the researchers conducted within the PA that promotes awareness and encourages biodiversity preservation.  (Jeatrin V. Oro-MMPL Staff)
