In her message, PENRO Rosalinda Cortez said that the groundbreaking ceremony represents not just the beginning of a new structure, but a significant step towards the collective efforts to protect and preserve MMPL. She highlighted that the station is a strategy to bring the office closer to the clients and to provide first-hand information.
Barangay Chairman Hon. Osting D. Tilo, Jr. commended the efforts of DENR-PAMO MMPL, noting that the new station will serve as a vital checkpoint to deter environmental crimes within the protected landscape.
General Santos City CENR Officer and Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Chairman, Elmer S. Mercado, praised Mira Farms for providing the parcel of land and the importance of continued collaboration and support from the BLGU of Kablon and the MLGU of Tupi in ensuring the success of the new Ranger Monitoring Station.
The ceremony was also attended by key stakeholders including Tupi MENR Officer Mr. Lowie John Lomboy and his staff; Mira Farms representative Mr. Arnold Valiente; Barangay Kagawad Ruel Manansala of Brgy. Kablon; members of the Bids and Awards Committee; Engr. Marcelino Tangano of Dumalag Surveying & Engineering Services, and PAMO MMPL staff.
