Koronadal City, June 26, 2024 – Officials and personnel of PENRO South Cotabato planted a total of 50 aguho seedlings, spaced 5x5 meters apart, along the side areas of the 5,000-square-meter site at the new PENR Office of South Cotabato in Baryo 8, Brgy. Saravia, Koronadal City for the second day of tree planting in celebration of Arbor Day.

PENR Officer, Rosalinda Cortez,Ph.D expressed her enthusiasm for the project during her speech. "This tree planting activity is more than just a part of our Arbor Day celebration, it is a crucial step in our greening project for this site where tree growing action starts at home, our Office. By planting these seedlings around the perimeter, we are not only beautifying the space but also contributing to the ecological health of our community. This initiative reflects our dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainable development."

TSD Chief, Leonisa Alfaro also highlighted the importance of reforestation and environmental conservation. She shared that aguho seedlings are expected to grow and enhance the green space around the new building, providing a lush and sustainable environment for years to come.
