Engr. Samaon served as OIC- PENR Officer of South Cotabato for the past seven years. Under his term the DENR South Cotabato was able to purchase a 750-square meter lot in Barangay Zone IV in Koronadal City which now houses a progressive office building.

In his message, Engr. Samaon expressed his heartfelt thanks to all officials and personnel of DENR South Cotabato because of their cooperation and hard work in order to deliver timely and quality service to his constituents.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa inyo na sa loob ng pitong taong panunungkulan ko wala akong naging sakit sa ulo mula sa inyo. Utang ko sa inyo ang tagumpay ng ating opisina dahil kayo ang tunay na “gwapo” at “magagandang” personnel na maasahan sa trabaho na nakaka-deliver on time at nakaka-exceed ng target goals,” said Samaon.

In his acceptance message, PENRO. Saladero thanked Director Saikol for granting his request for reassignment due to health reasons. Likewise, he thanked Engr. Samaon for being kind-hearted that paved the way for his transfer to South Cotabato.

PENRO Saladero is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the Mindanao State University (MSU) in Marawi City. He is a licensed Forester and has a master’s degree in public administration from the Notre Dame of Marbel University in Koronadal City . He has served the Department for 34 years in various capacities such as Protected Area Superintendent (PASu) of the Mt. Matutum Protected Landscape, Chief of the Administrative and Finance Division of the Environmental Management Bureau XII, Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer (CENRO) of the DENR stationed in Midsayap, (North) Cotabato, and PENRO of Sarangani Province until his latest assignment.

On the other hand, RD Saikol in his message affirmed that the transfer of For. Saladero is not work-related but due to health reasons. He said that he approved the request for reassignment of Saladero so that he can be free from a stressful daily travel to Alabel, and for him to become closer to his home in Koronadal which is only a block away from the PENRO Office.

“Alam natin na may karamdaman si PENRO Ed kaya kailangang ibigay natin ang ating full support sa kanya. Dapat ipagpatuloy natin ang ating magandang sinimulan,” said Saikol. Likewise, Saikol believes being a South Cotabateño, Saladero will not lower his guard in pursuing good governance for the DENR in South Cotabato.
